With bands like The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane and Santana rocking the local clubs – not to mention the entire planet – the heart of Rock & Roll was beating loud and clear in San Francisco in the late 60s. In the decades since then, well, not so much. Fortunately, one local band has brought a breath of fresh air and a jolt of energy to the live music scene: Mouth To Mouth. All different types of rock and all from SF. There’s been a bunch more successful bands from SF as well…Third Eye Blind, um, Counting Crows, Train, Huey Lewis & the News…

And don’t forget about Green Day! I agree, a ton of great Rock bands have come out of SF since the 60’s, just not in the past few years. As a musician myself, it seems like the “”"scene”" is kinda dead at the moment, I have also seen these guys perform and they are killer! Good job all around !!
